We are excited to announce our partnership with a great organization, Assisted Cycling Tours.  This group organizes bike rides for people with disabilities and their families.  One of the larger events they participate in every year is the Bike MS (formerly MS 150) ride.  This partnership will result in greatly expanding our potential sponsors as well as participants.  It will also increase the number of donation dollars provided by Assisted Cycling Tours.  We look forward to building this partnership in the years to come.

The tournament will be in the same format as in the past - the four-person Scramble with a shotgun start.  This format allows each player in the group to tee off. The game continues by selecting the best spot to play the next shot. All players will play the next stroke from that spot, and play continues in this format until the ball is holed out.  A "shotgun" start means that the foursomes will be spread over the entire course.  In this way each team will begin at the same time.  Each team must use 4 of each golfers' drives.  By doing this, we even the playing field by handicapping teams who bring out the "ringer".  Prizes will be given for longest putt, closest to the pin, and men's and women's longest drive.  Last year these prizes included golf clubs, golf shoes, clothing, etc.  We will also have a "pile" of raffle prizes which, in the past, have ranged from golf balls to golf bags and pull carts.  Each golfer will receive 2 raffle tickets with their paid entry to the tournament.  Additional tickets may be purchased for $1, of which all proceeds will be donated to either the Colorado Chapter of the National MS Society or the Rocky Mountain MS Center.

We are currently looking for sponsors to help out with the following contests:

  • Closest to the Pin
  • Hole-in-One Contest
  • Longest Drive (Men's and Women's)
  • Longest Putt
  • Putting Contest
  • We will once again offer the "special ball" and numerous other mini-games on various holes.

Jed McKnight was a friend and the co-host of this tournament.  Along with his family's help and blessings the tournament committee and I continue working toward making this the event we had always dreamed of.  We continue to host the tournament in Jed's name as the Jed McKnight Memorial Golf Tournament in remembrance of our friend and with his great big heart in mind.  He left us a legacy of kindness, which we continue to honor.  We love you Jed!
